We are happy to host TAU's Dan Rabinowitz (professor, Sociology and Anthropology, former Head of the Porter school of Environmental Studies), and TAU's Alon Tal (Professor, Public Policy), for a discussion of Dan's new book The Power of Deserts: Climate Change, the Middle East and the Promise of a Post-oil Era, recently published by Stanford University Press. In this discussion, Tal and Rabinowitz will examine the extent to which oil-rich countries, particularly those of the Persian Gulf, could emerge as leaders of the global transition from fossil fuels to renewable energy.
