Abstract:

Israel’s energy sector has gone through significant reforms and major transformations in the last decade. These transformation is considerably due to the gas reserves found off shore, alongside structural changes that have been underway since the early 1990’s. How much of the energy transformation is related to the most urging environmental considerations of combating climate change? To what extend are decision makers considering it when it comes to energy policy?
