Bio
Rotem Reshef is a painter and installation artist based in Tel Aviv and New York, a graduate of Hamidrasha School of Art, Israel, and the Reinwardt Academy, Amsterdam, The Netherlands
Her work alludes to forms of life that existed in the world, even if only for a short time and are now gone, but got “a second chance” via her artistic process
Reshef’s paintings and large-scale installations have been shown internationally in solo and group exhibitions, in venues such as The Katonah Museum of Art, Katonah, NY; The Laurie M. Tisch Gallery, New York; The Steinhardt Museum of Natural History, Tel Aviv; Charlie James Gallery, Los Angeles, CA; The Artists’ House, Tel Aviv, Israel; Kwan Fong Gallery, California Lutheran University, Thousand Oaks, CA; San Diego Art Institute, San Diego, California; and the FSU Museum of Fine Arts, Tallahassee, FL, among others
In January 2023 Reshef will open her next solo exhibition, at the Bakersfield Museum of Art, Bakersfield, California
